Alpha Star Aviation Services is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and it is a VVIP total private Aircraft Management solutions include on-demand flight services, and turnkey aircraft management. Additionally, Alpha Star Aviation Services Management can tailor a custom aviation solution to meet client's unique private air travel requirements, in addition to our responsibility for operations. Alpha Star Aviation Services has it is own technical and maintenance services to private, commercial and specialized aviation market, as well as to provide logistic support including purchase, storage of spare parts to support the needs of our clients:

We are currently recruiting for the following:

Flight Physician Emergency Medicine

Provides high quality pre-hospital advanced life support to critically injured/ill patients (air & ground). The Flight Physician will perform his duties providing all aspects of care to the patient in general but not limited to: ventilation, monitoring invasive and noninvasive, diagnosis, plan for treatment, consultation, medical procedures (i.e. intubation, cricothyrotomy, CPR). Follows established medical protocol that is developed by Medical Director(s).

Duties and Responsibilities:
5.1 Complete assigned responsibilities while functioning within established hospital guidelines, standards and directive under the immediate supervision of the respective Base Supervisor
5.2 Shall participate in the clinical and academic activities
5.3 Shall recommend equipment purchase and advise on current trends in field of study
5.4 Comply with the standards laid down by the approved International Accreditation Standards
5.5 Ensures aircraft EMS/medical supplies are in constant state of readiness.
5.6 Ensures participation with receiving & sending facility in loading/unloading patients on helipads.
5.7 Ensure continuous and effective communication with all public safety & security departments.
5.8 Shall be responsible for coordinating with the MICU, ICU or CCU for patient transfer during mission
5.9 Report any occurrence not consistent with the standard of the service for the patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff or visitors at risk for Injury or other harm
5.10 Shall follow all policies and procedures related to medical care and operational expectations
5.11 Works in harmonious partnership with members of the Air Medical Staff and Aviation Provider
5.12 Maintains a professional image and proper grooming at all times
5.13 Maintains punctuality (report to work on time) and organizes daily tasks and break time efficiently and effectively
5.14 Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned with realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
5.15 Assists in situational problem solving and in the utilization of limited resources and supplies
5.16 Provides attentive patient care in a thorough, efficient and cost effective manner and maintains an awareness of the patient physical, medical and cultural needs at all times

Educational Requirements:
6.1 Must be graduate from a recognized medical school possessing MBBS, MD or DO degree
6.2 Current valid certifications in the following:
6.2.1 Basic Life Support (BLS)
6.2.2 Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent (ITLS)
6.2.3 Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
6.2.4 Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
6.3 Fellowship of Royal College of U.K. or Republic of Ireland, American Board, Canadian Board, Fachartz (Germany), Scandinavian Board Qualification or the internationally recognized qualification, Arab Board or Saudi Board in Emergency Medicine
6.4 Current valid license to practice license to practice Medicine recognized by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties

Professional Experience:
7.1 Post graduate professional experience of 2 or more years is preferred
7.1.1 Must be verified with letter of employment from previous employers
7.1.2 1-3 years of Aviation Medicine experience is preferred
7.2 Fluent in English, both oral and written. Arabic speakers will be at advantage.
7.3 Computer literacy level is required, proficient is preferred

Specialized Knowledge:
8.1 Must be well versed in the field of his/her specialty.
8.2 Emotionally stable and in good general health, able to work extended hours under heavy stress conditions.
