DO & CO Event and Airline Catering Ltd is a worldwide catering company delivering gourmet entertainment to the airline industry. We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team.

Objectives:
Working as a Chef with Chinese dishes and International dishes in production, catering and events as required by the Company. Cooking food to required standards and specifications and creating required dishes and menus for catering and events.

Quality of delivered products
Crew and customer comments/ feedback and complaints
Adherence to menu specifications (weight, size, texture, etc.)
Operational planning and handling procedures
Menu development

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Work daily with the Head Chef to ensure that consistent quality product is produced following all established standards and replace him in his absence
Assist Head Chef in menu design and development and final presentation as per the companys/ clients needs
Establish production of recipes in line with the set pricing structure/ customer budgets
Coordinate, plan, participate and supervise the production, preparation and presentation of food
Responsible for providing a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all legal requirements
In charge of training, developing, coaching or counselling any staff member in accordance to internal policies
Ensure ongoing internal communication with all operational departments/ management and team members concerned
Do weight and quality control checks upon merchandise receipt
Check daily inventory control and proceed final ordering requests to Purchasing
Ensure correct order of products in the Head chefs absence
Assist Head chef with day to day tasks
Produce food according to the Head Chefs schedule as described in the delivery note
Meet the requirement of hygiene standards
Keep the food cost under control
Coordinate, plan, participate and supervise the production, preparation and presentation of meals
Check daily inventory control and proceed final ordering requests to Purchasing

Professional qualifications:

HACCP knowledge
BA culinary degree or apprenticeship
Authentic knowledge and skills of Chinese and Asian cuisine.
Perfect knowledge on main special meals (Vegan, Vegetarian, Low fat, low calorie, Gluten intolerant etc.)
Strong people management and communication skills
Knowledge of all main meat cuts for beef/pork/lamb/poultry/and deer
Knowledge of main fresh water fish/ salt water fish and shellfish
Knowledge of main European and international recipes and cooking techniques
Intermediate knowledge in MS office
Flexible in work shifts and hours
Fluency in written and spoken English
No restrictions to work with any kind of food
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Fast learning ability
Willing to travel internationally

Valid UK work permit
